Under minimal supervision, reporting to the Director of Construction, the Project Manager leads and manages the project delivery that meets or exceeds all project requirements and company objectives.

As a Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for:


  • Providing leadership and oversight of the project(s) assigned to you regarding scheduling, planning, cost management, quality management, safety management, and contractual obligations.
  • Supporting estimating and preconstruction services as required.
  • Developing and fostering internal and external relationships.
  • Mentoring project support staff at all levels and across cross-functional teams.
  • Maintaining a practical knowledge of current industry trends.
  • Efficiently tracking and managing project costs to meet project and company objectives.
  • Developing and implementing risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance with Prodigy’s health and safety requirements (exceeds industry standards).
  • Developing and implementing strategies when required to recover or improve project schedules.
  • Ensuring project quality control requirements are met.
  • Ensuring all project administration is compliant with company and project requirements.
  • Supporting the Project Superintendent in site management strategies.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with employees, subcontractors, customers, material suppliers, and other stakeholders with an interest in the success of the project.


About You:


The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum five years’ experience working in ICI construction. Experience with Financial (occupied – phased), Retail, and Hospitality projects is considered an asset.
  • Experience working on projects up to $10 Million.
  • Practical application experience working in Construction Management and Stipulated Sum contract models. Experience in Design-Build, Integrated Project Delivery, and other hybrid models is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated excellent stakeholder relationship management.
  • Ability to manage several smaller projects or one larger project autonomously and coordinate with senior management at strategic touchpoints.
  • Practical application experience using MS Office Suite, MS Project, Accounting cost tracking (Jonas or similar), Procore, Bluebeam, and related industry software.
  • Ability to consistently achieve objectives on schedule, budget, and defined quality standards.
  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and the ability to persevere when challenged.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed; ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to interpret contract drawings and specifications.
  • Effective communicator, inclusive of verbal, written, and interpersonal.
  • Demonstrated experience in effective conflict resolution.


Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:


  • Working primarily in the construction office, ensuring the quality of the work, supporting the project team, as well as being part of strategic meetings with client representatives, trades, and vendors.
  • The individual may be required to work in both indoor and outdoor environments on construction sites.
  • Computer work, sitting at a desk to compile reports, meetings, emails, phone calls, and other tasks.
